In the file path shown above, “x.xx” refers to the software version number. Clicking on the icon will start the program and will display both the “Sic_Main” panel as well as the “Mount” panel.
Click on the icon and allow the program to initialize. The YELLOW message bar located at the center of the Mount Panel shows the status of the mount. Wait for “PARKED” to be displayed in the status bar. When the mount has been parked, the user can then operate the system in either a “script” mode or a “manual” mode (see below).

Data will be stored on the computer disk drive that is specified on line 131 of the sic_ini.ini file. At program start, the available disk space for this location will be examined, and if there is less than 30Gb of existing free space, the program will not run.
SCRIPT MODE (recommended):
The SAM control software (SIC) can be operated in fully automatic mode by using pre-defined instruction sets called “scripts”. Two scripts are available. They are “sicscripta.txt” and “slackerscript.txt”. As you will see from the description provided below, “sicscripta.txt” can be used when operating before or after sunrise, and we recommend using this script; (“slackerscript.txt” is obsolete, but can be used.) Click on the “Script” button (located on the Main Menu panel). This will start the script panel, and the name of the active script will be displayed in the GREEN box.
