(crop science) Field operations such as plowing, planting, cultivating, and harvesting on the contour, or at right angles to the natural slope to reduce soil erosion, protect soil fertility, and use water more efficiently.

Konturodling förekommer som term i exempelvis EU:s utvärderingsfrågor gällande förordning 1750/1999, artikel 42.2.
Definition from own experience or research:
Konturodling innebär att man inom kuperade och sluttande områden med stora nederbördsmängder försöker undvika jorderosion genom att arbeta vinkelrätt mot markens lutning, dvs. man följer nivåkurvorna.
