The text concerns a control system for the speed a vacuum cleaner motor. One parameter is the switching angle and to be honest I can not understand if it concerns the motor or outside the vacuum cleaner. like the angle of the nozzle against the floor.

switching angle I suggest that you translate it as the Swedish equivalent of "switching ON angle". Anyone that understands the subject matter will be able to understand what is all about. Alternately, look up Swedish texts dealing with "thyristor switching" or "SCR switching" (SCR = Silicon Controlled Rectifier) - you will most certainly find the expression there.

I have not much to give you: some variables used to to control the motor are: "..the motor current, switching angle and rotational speed are indirect characteristic variables."

More context is needed In any case, electrical (AC) power is normally switched electronically using thyristors. AS AC power is a sinewave (sinus wave) running from 0 to 360 degrees each cycle. Electrical power is controlled by firing (switching) thyristors ON at a certain angle of thr sinewave.

Transformer inrush
