I'm translating a technical text from Greek into English. Amongst other things, it refers to a cable that literally translates from Greek as "polish", i.e. polish cable. The Greek word is "polonic" (πολωνικό), probably meaning "polish". The context isn't of much help, it only refers to the transfer of the "polish" cable and the fiber optics cable.
The only reference I could find on the web (English and Greek) is this:

Any ideas what this might be... A cable from a Polish supplier, perhaps?
Thanks.
