Should I read it:
(1) "prepared humeral and ulnar bones"
(2) "prepared humeral and ulnar canals"
or in a different way?
I do not know how to translate "preparations".
Total Elbow Prosthesis
Description
The XXX Total Elbow Prosthesis consists of distal humeral and ulnar components with linking bushings. These components are intended for cemented implantation within the humeral and ulnar preparations.

Hi Barbara
In understand it refers to the bone preparation, i.e., both the humeral bone distal end and the ulnar bone proximal end. These are the ends that will be attahced to the elbow prosthesis (to its respective 2 components).
Good luck
Elena
- humeral preparation:
- only the diaphysis is needed for secure fixation of the humeral component;
- deficiency or absence of an epicondyle should not be major problem;
- medullary canal is entered w/ a twist reamer and is exchanged for the
alignment stem w/ the attached cutting block (placed radially);
- cutting block:
- set to remove an appropriate amount of distal humerus;
- stem: available in 4, 6, and 8 inch stem lengths;12
- ulnar preparation:
- medullary canal is entered w/ a high speed drill;
- the previously removed olecranon tip facilitates entry into the canal;
- sequential rasping is performed w/ care to avoid proximal ulnar complication;
