English term

odd days and even days

English Medical Medical (general)
Take 2 tablets by mouth on odd days and 1 tablet on even days.

What is meant by odd days and even days in this context?

I am also curious to know is there any other way of taking the tablets other than mouth? Thanks in advance.

Discussion

David Moore (X) Apr 3, 2005:
There are tablets - more correctly "suppositories" which are applied rectally or vaginally. See e.g. Chambers for definition. This is the only possible alternative I can think of.

A possibility,
Good luck from Oso ¶:^)

Sorry, typo **month** not **nonth** ¶:^(

odd = Mathematics. Designating an integer not divisible by two, such as 1, 3, and 5.

even= Mathematics.
a. Exactly divisible by 2.
b. Characterized or indicated by a number exactly divisible by 2.

I don\'t think there is another way of taking a tablet other than by mouth. ¶:^)

agree pidzej : (may be "by mouth" to indicate they should be swallowed whole rather than e.g. dissolved in a glass of water?)

agree Armorel Young : yes, although I find it an odd formulation because if a month has 31 days you will take a consecutive double dose on the 31st and 1st, which doesn't sound right.
