If so, I respectfully disagree with the translation "ploughing stick".

The phrase "ploughing stick" strongly suggests (to my ear) that this is a tool used for the ploughing *itself*, rather than simply a guidepost for those doing the actual ploughing.

I would propose "ploughing marker" instead, since "marker" is the term I've seen used for things like these in North American cities where there is a lot of snow.

There may be other/better alternatives out there, but at least "ploughing marker" conveys the function of these objects (as I understand it thus far).
