French term

relâche

French to English Bus/Financial Cinema, Film, TV, Drama theatre
This is from a contract between a theatre and the producer of a concert to be held there next year. In the cancellation clause, the contract lists all the cases of force majeur, including "relâche ordonnée par les autorités publiques"

Here's the clause:

I'm assuming this means that public authorities order the theatre closed, but don't know what that is called in theatre or legal jargon.
Can anybody help?

Philippa Smith Dec 5, 2011:
I don't the theatrical/legal jargon, but I'm sure your analysis is right. I would think you could use "closure ordered by...".
