French term (edited): t�te de dalle

I have a funny feeling there is a technical term for this that doesn't spring to mind right now, but it simply means the edge of the floor slab. In your curtain walling (façades), the glass/aluminium/steel façade presumably runs up the building outside the edge of the floor slabs. Glass is fine between the top of one floor slab and the bottom of the one above, but there is no point in putting glass over the edge of the slabs since all people will see is ugly concrete (at best), so this part of the curtain walling system uses opaque materials.
