agree writeaway : sigh, again a sentence is parsed incorrectly on the question line. but of course it's a granita. It's an Italian dessert.

Thanks Writeaway! Yes, I agree re the parsing, and most people don't realise that it can be corrected when making the Glossary entry...

agree writeaway : you were pipped at the post by Carol. /ok. since you want agree (a neutral isn't a disagree, it's just a comment), then here it is. Better late than never-and I guess that applies to your answer and to my agree.

I'm quite aware of that, but that's no reason to give a neutral when the answer is correct! Carol's answer wasn't showing when I posted otherwise I would of course simply have agreed!

lime and tarragon slush (or granita)
Peer comment(s):

neutral writeaway : we call it a granita. It's basically an Italian dessert.
3 mins
agree Carol Gullidge : this also works if the register is lower. We used to call them slush puppies. But I think it should really be lime, and that "vert" should have been included in the question//I should add that a slush puppy was a drink rather than a dessert!
4 mins
I agree, a more accurate translation would even be lime and tarragon slush/granita
neutral Sheila Wilson : slush has negative connotations (especially this winter) which preclude its use in formal dining (but it's fine for kids)
