French term

coulant de maintien cranté

French to English Tech/Engineering Forestry / Wood / Timber
Ce collier en PVC recyclé traité anti UV souple comprend une boucle et un coulant de maintien cranté.

I've used tree ties myself in my garden, but I don't seem to be able to find anything specific on the internet.

Would I be right in using "interlocking sliding hoop/loop" ?

Through my research I discovered that 'coulant de maintien' is a hoop collar in this particular context http://www.rainbow.eu.com/new/tree-ties.php. My further searches suggest that this is in fact a ribbed hoop collar.

I believe it perhaps it "...comprises a buckle with a notched slide fastener". See images in Web reference. This is the idea at least!
