French term

(assemblée) valablement (tenue)

French to English Bus/Financial Law: Contract(s) formule de pret/prteur/emprunteur

GDT donne effectually pour valablement?? no way!

agree df49f (X) : I think that might be better than my "validly"... // sous réserve que "duly" means not just "dûment" mais aussi "valablement" i.e. "dans les règles"...

neutral Tony M : I'm wary of 'duly' here, since 'valablement' is surely not the same as 'dûment'? // Fair enough, you know best!

Sorry, but in Quuebec French it would be...
agree Karin Adamczyk (X) : this was the first thing that came to my mind

French term (edited): (assemble) valablement (tenue)

(Shareholders Meeting) validly (convened and held)

this is also what I hear during Shareholders Meetings...

but: reason for my "low" confidence: most of the sites in my google search are French, Belgian, Spanish... - so, obviously translated... and I never have 100% confidence in these translations (seen too many bad ones!!) - maybe you can confirm with a more refined search?

agree writeaway : duly

agree Tony M : I would be inclined to go for 'properly convened and held...', 'proper' in this sense conveying accurately the idea of 'valablement'
