French term

reprend par voie hétérocoronarienne

French to English Medical Medical: Cardiology CORONAROGRAPHY REPORT
"Aggravation du statut coronarien avec occlusion de la CD1 qui reprend par voie hétérocoronarienne par une branche auriculaire la CX1 et la PL2" [sic]

I understand that this is referring to collateral circulation, but the wording escapes me. Any help would be appreciated.

Discussion

SJLD Oct 28, 2011:
The atrial branch comes off the LCA in this case. In some hearts it comes off the Cx.

The PL2 is the mid segment of the posterolateral branch, which comes off the LCA here.
So three branches of the LCA system (atrial, Cx and PL) are supplying the RCA system.

Thanks for the input, but I still not clear on this. The proximal RCA is occluded and collateral flow to the CX1 and PL2 is provided by an atrial branch? of the LCA? (I have been trying to work this from diagrams, but am failing totally). Thanks
