uyuni Feb 20:
Padding seems to be an English term, e.g.:

uyuni Feb 20:
More often it reads 'Pa*dd*en'...
uyuni Feb 20:
@Phil Seems your first assumption was correct. Apparently it has to do with 'pad(s)'. I do believe it means 'finishing' the polish with a pad. https://www.google.com/search?q="paden" "polieren"&client=sa...
Emmanuella Feb 19:
The asker is Spanish . Maybe DE > ES

Oh! Well spotted. I'll change it to German-English, since our discussion has been in English.
Emmanuella Feb 19:
ES>EN ?
philgoddard Feb 19:
Yes, you're right. In your link, both polieren and paden are done with a Schleifmaschine. I do think it may have something to do with 'pad', and I wonder if it means to buff.

philgoddard Feb 19:
Could it be something to do with the English 'pads'? I'm not sure if it's a noun or a verb.

or 'finish' (by means of a special pad)
Peer comment(s):

agree philgoddard : I'm not convinced that 'padding' is a word in this context, but finishing or buffing would do.

Hi Phil, thank you! Will you go ahead and post 'buffing' as an alternative answer?
