@ Roland I am familiar with "roster" as a list, usually of names. When I google "meter reading roster" I find is one reference to a "showerhead swap meter reading roster" listing districts whose water meters will be checked in several months of 2011 (ie a list of names) and that is about it. The definition of "cycle", on the other hand, includes "a round of years or a recurring period of time, especially one in which certain events or phenomena repeat themselves in the same order and at the same intervals". (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/cycle) "Meter reading cycle" gets a large number of google hits. The world is big, so perhaps roster is used as you suggest, but cycle seems to be more common, which could explain the "agree" votes.

roster IS the correct translation for Turnus, describing regular intervals. Cycle doesn't say anything about "regular" intervals.

It's certainly a fair question. In the reference that I used, it is annual and the term used is only Ableseturnus without jaehrlich. But maybe to be safe, I would say regular (or regularly scheduled) meter reading. But I do think the reference is at least a valuable resource. Hope that helps...
