German term

Ablagegestell

German to English Tech/Engineering Engineering: Industrial Industrial plant
e.g. a "Triebwerksablagegestell" used in aircraft production.

I'm not sure that a 'storage rack' (cf. http://www.proz.com/kudoz/1064921 ) sounds suitable for aero engines.
Proposed translations (English)
3 engine trolley

Discussion

Teresa Reinhardt Jan 15, 2010:
I don't think you are that far off; they probably have their own internal terms, but that's what it is - just a gigantic one. And very likely not flat like a "Regal" but custom-made for the shape(s) in question. Sorry, don't have a bright idea...too late

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "This presumably depends on wheher it is a "fahrbares Gestell" or a "statisches Gestell". "
