This is an industrial furnace probably in vertical or tower design. I am searching for the commonly used and understandable English term. On the Web I've found e.g. paternoster furnace, but I'm not sure that this is the correct translation into English.

I don't think it's a furnance, which would be for heating. These ovens are for thermal processing. : I think the "conveyor" idea is important. I can see why they're called paternoster ovens, but I'm not sure that would mean much to most English speakers.
