One more question from an employment contract:

*Dienstverhinderung*:

Erkrankt der Geschäftsführer oder ist er aus anderen berücksichtigungswürdigen Gründen an der Ausübung seiner Tätigkeit verhindert, so hat er den(die) anderen Geschäftsführer bzw. den(die) Hauptgesellschafter unverzüglich zu benachrichtigen bzw. für seine Vertretung zu sorgen.

My idea: Incapacity to work

Maybe there are better terms ...

inability to attend work

Ich glaube hier geht es nicht nur um Krankheiten, sondern auch anderen Gründe, warum der Geschäftsführer nicht an seinem Arbeitsplatz erscheinen kann. Andere Gründe könnten z. B. ein Trauerfall oder Unglückfall in der Familie, höhere Gewalt oder ein Stau sein. Aus diesem Grund würde ich das neutrale "inability" nehmen. Es deckt alle Fälle ab.

As the title of a section/article in an employment contract, where the context is obvious, I would keep it concise.

Another possibility. I have also used "inability to report to work." This information might be helpful.

An illness which renders the employee unfit to perform the work due under the contract of employment constitutes a form of impossibility of performance (Dienstverhinderung) which as a general principle carries an entitlement for the employee concerned to the continued payment of remuneration (Entgeltfortzahlung).

indisposition

No need to expand with 'to work' as understood. Not the same as incapacity - an employee may well be capable of working, but prevented from doing so.
