German term

Mulde

German to English Medical Medical: Instruments
I need some help trying to understand what is meant by "Mulden" in this context.
Subject matter: hearing aids
I cannot find anything that matches and am considering the term "cavity", but would like some feedback.
The text is a discussion of the business strategy for the future written by the CEO for internal purposes.

In a passage dealing with repair services and outsourcing to a laboratory, the statement made is:

"Micro Mulden werden ab Ende September an ein lokales Labor weitergeleitet. Somit fertigen wir offiziell keine Mircro resp. Power Mulden mehr an!"

I searched the companies website for Micro Mulden and Power Mulden, but to no avail. Does anyone have an idea what this could mean?? The entire text is written in Swiss German, leaving me scratching my head about a few things... I will ask the client, but will not hear back until Monday, which might be late.

TIA

mould (please see below)

Mulde = hollow, trough, tray (according to Polytechnical Dictionary, Walther)

I also found "cavity"; then I came across "mould cavity" = Formenhohlraum'; hence I thought that just "mould" could work.

From this followed (and perhaps it could be of some help):
There are several options for the ear piece of the RITE Power style, allowing
both instant fittings and customized non-occluding moulds.

Power Mould
The custom mould is shaped like a
canal instrument. It is available in 4
skin tones. The RITE Power speaker
and mould are pre-assembled for
your convenience but can also be assembled
in-office.

Power Micro Mould
The transparent micro mould is a
click-on solution for fast installation
and close to invisible fi ttings and can
easily be assembled in your offi ce.

tray

I think in this case the term "tray" refers as that part of the hearing aid on which the audio-sensor is mounted

Fossa/Impression

If it is a brand name (although non-spotable) it should be left as is + English translation in brackets.
Alternative (explanation see below): hollow/cavity

Potentially not a natural cavity but an artificial one:
"Das komplette Implantatgehäuse wird in eine kleine, vorher angelegte Knochenmuld eingelassen (s. Abb. 1).

two more examples of bone hollows (none of which suits for a hearing aid though):

earshell / earmold (ear shell, ear mould)

http://www.encyclopedia.com/doc/1G1-165820397.html
A custom hearing instrument requires an earpiece to couple the device with the ear canal both acoustically and physically. For a behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aid, the coupler is called an earmold; for an in-the-ear (ITE) hearing aid, it is an earshell.

Thanks for the added suggestion! And the links. I did check all of them out. Since Marga suggested "mould" first, I gave her the points!

Here it is translated as a recess, or simply as a wax guard, the document is not consistent.
Peer comments on this reference comment:

neutral Blaess : "Micro Mulde" would do in this context - although this system is not a hearing aid but a protection for a hearing aid; but with "Power Mulde" it does not appear to fit
