Hi ProZ-Peeps!
This term appears within the context of joint punctures
Natives Röhrchen für Bakteriologie (Gram-Präparat, Mykobakterien, Pilze) mind. 1 ml.
It is apparently used to collect samples for the diagnosis of bone infections in the case of prosthetic hip and joint implants.
"Native tube" seems the most obvious but is tough to confirm with a Google search because of all the interference from indigenous websites and Native American clothing (who knew the Indians made special "tube tops"?!?!)
Anyone out there ever come across this term?
Vielen Dank im Voraus,

No additive [blood collection] tube
Tubes containing EDTA, citrate are called "additive tubes". Those without it, can be called "no additive tubes" for short, or blood collection tubes with no additives.
Take your pick.
But not "native tube", it's not used in EN.
