Discussion

Stuart and Aida Nelson May 24, 2019:
@ Mary Esther explained it nicely: 'when a (piece of) clot (embolus) dislodges and enters the circulation', wanders through the circulation with the risk of causing more serious problems such a thromboembolism, etc. It is carried by the blood circulation from the vessel/place where it originally appeared to other vessels/places.
Mary Burdman (asker) May 24, 2019:
Thanks - I should have added that my real question is the meaning of 'Verschleppung' in the context of blood clots.
