German term
barrierefreie Zimmer
German to English
Other
Tourism & Travel
Kontext:
Hotelzimmer
Es stehen auch einige barrierefreie Zimmer zur Verfügung.
This is, of course, again Austrian German. I haven't the faintest what they mean by that...I may just put a translator's note, perhaps there are some Austrians among us....working in the hotel trade?

A succinct version would be disabled-adapted rooms, but it's not as politically correct as my version.
I don't know the term barrier-free rooms.

wheelchair accessible rooms
This is a very common term & seems straightforward: I can't think of "Barrieren" partaining to much else but wheelchairs...
Example sentence:
Wheelchair Accessible Europe is a guide for wheelchair accessible hotels and ...

Barrier-free From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Barrier-free building modification consists of modifying buildings or facilities so that they can be used by the physically disadvantaged or disabled. An example would be installing a ramp for wheelchairs alongside or in place of some steps. The idea of barrier free modification has largely been superseded by the concept of universal design, which seeks to design things from the outset to support easy access. This latter approach usually leads to lower total cost. However, with pre-existing structures, barrier free may be the most appropriate or only valid approach.

: barrier-free is definitely the right expression. I know because I specialise in sociology and texts about housing for older people and the disabled are often a topic. Barrier-free means without tricky stairs, etc.
