German term

Confin-Böden

German to English Marketing Tourism & Travel Geographical Feature
"Die Panoramabahn führt uns auf die Seiser Alm, mit dem Bus fahren wir anschließend bis zum Talkessel Saltria.
Gemütlich startet unsere Wanderung in Richtung Monte Pana am Fuße des Plattkofels.
Schon bald zweigen wir rechts ab und erreichen über die Confin-Böden die Murmeltierhütte (Einkehr), wo wir mit etwas Glück die Murmeltiere pfeifen hören."

From a brochure advertising various hikes in the Tyrolean Alpine region of northern Italy. For the most part, I can find translations of or explanations for the names of certain geographical features, but I cannot find any enlightenment about the "Confin-Böden" and have absolutely no idea what you would call this geographical feature (as it seems to be) in English. TIA for any light you can shed on it.

Discussion

Lancashireman Jun 6, 2013:
Plan de Confin Several references on the Web. Might be preferable, as English speakers seem more comfortable with French/Italian/ Romansch-sounding names rather than German, especially those two funny-looking dots over the 'o'.

Confin-Böden

There doesn't seem to be any other expression for it in English other than variants in spelling

"We reached the Confin Boden all right, but here, for the first time in the course of all our wanderings, found ourselves at fault
in hitting off the exact path. "

"..der Confin-Boden ist eine schöne weite Wiese auf der Rückseite des Langkofels."

Talböden

Böden could be short for Talböden. Flats might fit, or valleys...
Good Luck,
