attestieren

German to English Marketing Wine / Oenology / Viticulture awards
Unsere Jury attestierte uns in diesem Jahr einen guten Standard bis herausragende Qualitäten.

It's really the whole sentence I am struggling with. Context is a report on a wine awards competition by the awarding body. They are clearly saying that the standard was high but I just can't get a handle on the construction or on a nice translation for "attestierte uns". "Our jury assures us that the standard was high and the qualities were outstanding." is my first attempt. any ideas please?

"Our jury found that this year's overall standard was good, and some entries were outstanding."

I don't think the translation can have both "standards" and "quality" in them, as they both mean the same thing. But feel free to prove me wrong!
