Hebrew to English Other Medical (general)

In a discussion of an abdominal scan for a person with (apparently) cholelitiasis there is a line that says:

לבלב מעובה בלתי אחיד עם רושם להיסתיידויות מוקדיות זעירות בתוכו, ייתכן שמדובר בתהליך דלקתי חריף עלכרוני?

I see the term על כרוני in a few mentions in Google but can't figure out the English equivalent.
