Hello,
I am translating a financial statement which includes a number of charts. The monthly trend chart I am working on at present has three bars, labelled "Cons.", "pdg" and "ap".
I am familiar with "cons." (consuntivo) and "pdg" (preventivo di gestione) and have translated these terms accordingly, but am unsure what "ap" stands for in this context. It is written in lowercase letters, with no punctuation.
I am leaning towards "anno precedente", but I wonder if anyone has any other insights?

Yes absolutely, Italian abbreviations are a minefield!
I do know, however, from previous experience that "cons." and "pdg" are regularly used together in this context to refer to "consuntivo" and "preventivo di gestione" (a fact which is confirmed by various Kudoz term threads which link the two), which is why I wondered if "ap" is also used as standard in this context despite my never having come across it before.
