research I did some research last night (see links below) and found that "concentrazione pittorica" was used to describe paintings devoid of unnecessary detail.
Luigi Tito's work is one example:

good point I think the question here is whether "concentrazione" refers to a style that is terse, or - as riglioli suggests - intense. Almost impossible to decide without seeing the painting.
