This is all the context I have apart from an approximate date - 16th to 18th century

I would be inclined to leave out accompanying/additional. From what I understand of the explanation below, a lancé weft is an additional weft.

I think this may be what is being described here:
"Satin weave has floating or overshot warp threads on the surface which reflect light, giving a characteristic luster."
which sounds similar to the silver/gold thread description that follows
