Truncated egg-shaped/oval

I found several examples of 'truncated egg-shaped' referring to ceramic objects including vases. I also found oval instead of egg-shaped but the word truncated was used in both cases.
Example sentence:

A porcelain truncated egg-shaped tea cup glazed in an orange to clear ombré effect glaze.
