First weblink: I'm unsure 'forgery can be sued on' in a civil rather than prosecuted in a criminal action' but 'action for fraud' IMO is closer to the mark as a hybrid civ. and crim. process.
Closely related to documentary perjury and claim for 'uttering a counterfeit' banknote or stamp etc. : 'You cannot ever sue someone for perjury because perjury charges can only be brought by the government. You can never bring a civil action...'
Otherwise, passing-off in Anglo-Am. Common Law ('parasitism' and piracy in other Roman civil-law systems) is used for goods and services as well as (travel) business cribs.
'La querela di falso, nel diritto italiano, è un procedimento giurisdizionale finalizzato a contestare la veridicità di un atto pubblico oppure di una scrittura privata riconosciuta. È simile al giudizio di verificazione, ma, nonostante il nome, non ha alcun collegamento con la querela *penale*.'
A forgery claim is filed by a payee or claimant of a U.S. Treasury Check, alleging forgery, via Fiscal Service Form 1133 to the Bureau of the Fiscal Service .
