Sporvei is for the most part used for the tram companies, such as Oslo Sporveier, or in a more general sense (sporveistrafikk, inntekter fra sporveiene etc).

Per is right! I wasn't even aware we used them in Norway, but apparently we do in Bergen: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bergen_trolleybus
