Example sentence:
Animals must be fasted to reduce gut contents and so lower the risk of rupturing the digestive tract during evisceration, which would cause contamination of the carcass with digesta or faeces.
Take care not to rupture any of the organs or intestines, as your job will become much smellier and messier.

: A defect in continuity of the alimentary tract can be obstruction/blockage as well.

Perhaps I'm assuming too much, but as this question is one of a series from this Asker to do with animal slaughter IMHO it almost certainly refers to inadvertent damage to the digestive tract during evisceration, e.g. spoiling the meat.

: "Rupture" to pęknięcie/rozerwanie - uszkodzenie ciągłości przewodu pokarmowego to może być też całkowite rozcięcie (lub, z drugiej strony, tylko przedziurawienie).

Believe it or not, the meaning of 'rupture' is broad enough to cover all those examples http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/rupture (definition 5) In the many native examples I've cited, obviously all these possibilities are implied.
