"Fogueira" is "fire" but I cannot undertand the meaning in this context.

Infelizmente não tenho mais contexto. O texto para traduzir é um anexo de um manual de qualidade para a manutenção de auto-estradas.
E o mesmo texto que contém a palavra "fendilhação" :-) e o cliente é de Portugal.

Sou engenheiro civil, e nunca ouvi o termo usado nesse contexto. Tratando-se de obras de arte especiais, certamente não será "chimney". Pode dar mais contexto e confirmar a grafia?
