Portuguese term

A Reunião Quotistas poderá ser convocada pelo administrador

Portuguese to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) Contrato Social
na realidade a dúvida seria mais na palavra "convocada", mas é que estou dando o pedaço do texto para dar a idéia da frase, não sei posso usar o termo summon esta palavra ou se existe algum outro termo em um Contrato.

The Shareholder's Meeting shall be called(convoked) by administrator

A palavra "call" é mais suave, que convoke, and "summon" tem mais sentido de "intimar".
Eu usaria "call" ou pelo menos, "convoke".

agree Diane Grosklaus Whitty : Yes, "stockholder" would be acionista. I also agree with "call" (google "shareholders meeting called" and check the origin of the hits)

neutral Lincoln Silveira (X) : Call is the term of choice, but quota-holder is off off off!!!!

Why do you think it's off? Look: 9.190 páginas em inglês sobre "quota-holder". It depends on the type of company.

For those who insist in using "quotaholder", may I submit that this is a "mania" of Romanic language speakers. I have found this error in Portuguese and Italian websites.

Danilo Nogueira's caveat couldn't be more appropriate. It is not proper English (check reference below), despite some references show instances of such rendering in public SEC filings.

The "sócio" of a limited liability company, in Brazil, is the equivalent of "member" in common law jurisdictions. A member will hold equity interest in the LLC, and the smallest fraction of such is called a "unit".

Wikipedia outright states a LLC will have at least one member. If UK/Australia jurisdictions are concerned, it will even state "shareholders", not "members".

As with the infamous Portuguese rendering of "comfort letter" (carta de conforto), "quota-holder" is an abomination turned sacred cow through unchecked, hand-me-down usage.
Peer comments on this reference comment:

neutral rhandler : Much different from "comfort letter". Check Google for 2,090 Canadian sites for quotaholder, 467 sites from UK, 987 sites from Australia: they don't belong to Italians. I like Danilo Nogueira's articles, but he failed on "quotaholder is not proper EN."

As I said, I found "quotaholders" in public filings with the mighty SEC and nevertheless they can't be considered proper English. I would submit that authorities must be "tolerant" in a way for the sake of the usual course of business, so to speak.
