Portuguese to English Law/Patents Law (general) EPA emmissions specifications
Hi all, I'm doing a technical translation but there is also a smattering of legal terminology which is not my real area. I believe that this phrase will need to go at the end of this paragraph but I'm not sure how. My translation is at the bottom here but I am also unsure if the word "redaction" is correct here also.

Artigo 2º - Ficam acrescentados os §§ 3º e 4º ao artigo 20 do Regulamento da Lei nº 997, de 31 de maio de 1976, aprovado pelo Decreto nº 8.468, de 8 de setembro de 1976, e posteriores alterações, com a seguinte redação:

Article 2. - Ficam acrescentados os §§ 3. and 4. to article 20 of the regulation of Law No. 997, of the 31st of May, 1976, approved by Decree No. 8.468, of the 8th of September, 1976, and subsequent alterations with the following redaction:

The law is amended by the addition of other articles, etc. Does it fit into the context? " Appended" means "attached" and I would used it if the added items had been included in a separate document and attached to the original document.

Thanks again Tobias, I was thinking of using wording but was just not sure, but it makes sense in the context.

I think a mix of both answers would be the go here I'm going with "§§ 3. and 4. are (herein) appended to article..." so thanks to you too Tobias.

Ficam gives the idea of sustaining change, so that it may be necessary to explain that in English (kept as).
Ordinals should be translated with accuracy, reckon.
