This is a spiritist text, written in the voice of a XVII century spirit, describing the furnishings in an old castle. I'm just not sure what they mean by "peças de mongol" - is it 'mongolian', in reference to origin, or is the term used specifically for inlaid items (I've found one or two on the internet*), or even, given that "sândalo" comes next, could they have meant "mogno", as in mahogany? Anyone come across this before? Thanks.

I've seen the mispelling in many European Portuguese texts, when they meant to write "mogol" (referring to the Persian/Indian Empire) frequently spell it "mongol".
