Portuguese term

resgate do passado no tempo simultâneo da expressão poética

Portuguese to English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature análise literária
Diante do desafio de dar conta de sua extensa produção, este trabalho fez um recorte para analisar, em sua poesia, um tema que não apenas reflete a eterna preocupação do homem com suas origens cósmicas e humanas, mas que tem também desafiado os críticos de todos os tempos e que, hoje, se impõe sob a forma de reflexões inovadoras: o resgate do passado no tempo simultâneo da expressão poética.

Discussion

Ben Kohn Nov 27, 2007:
PS: When I said "if you use rescuing" (as a verb) I was just explaining the option and the need to change simultaneous to simultaneously if chosen, it is perfectly correct to use rescue as a verb too.
Ben Kohn Nov 27, 2007:
Yes, I didn't think of that it could mean the past being simultaneous to the poetic expression ... it's a slightly ambiguous sentence, isn't it? However, that ambiguity is retained in English!

If you use "rescue of the past" then you must use "simultaneous" (adjective) and not "simultaneously" (adverb) as rescue is being used as a noun not a verb.
If you use "rescuing" then you use "simultaneously" ;)
Note from asker:
the past is simultaneous , not the rescue...therefore, the adverb simultaneously should not be used
