: I'd rather say "a series of", but succession is also good.

To the guardians of the English language:
Beauty spots are usually small (sometimes very small, but worth exploring).
And from the place of the English poet William Wordsworth :
... about the Lake District that hasn't already ... Lake District. This area is a bustling, beautiful tourist magnet encompassing all the famous and much praised natural beauty spots ...

Hi again Ana,
After the bloody hick-hack over beauty spots which as we have discovered are no longer welcome on face or body due to fear of melanoma http://www.proz.com/kudoz/1156538, though found in abundance in nature, and one commentator having lost completely the plot, I thought I should pep up my answer, with the hope it will go down well, at least with you.
Recanto encompases quite a few possibilities and besides the once mentioned here it also means retreat, hidding place, secret place, etc.
To get the hidden and the beauty across I would suggest
“…a stretch/band of hidden gems/places and natural beauty …”
or "....full of hidden places of natural beauty ..."
Good Luck
Example:
Summit aims to keep Shore from falling off the tourist map. While the resort towns are attracting more visitors, their share. of the national market has been dropping. ... The Shore's greatest assets seem to be its string of "hidden gems," such as the Victoriana of Cape May, the '50s Doo-Wop ...

: A beauty spot/mark is a mole/birthmark = pinta. I stand by my *disagree* and would like to clarify that my comments to other participants have a much broader scope than you might think. I'm sure you agree some questions/answers are downright amateurish.

Thanks for your learned wisdom, now let others enlighten you http://www.proz.com/kudoz/1156538 and maybe you would like to add to the discussion. [Note: Should your comment above "... juram que falam inglês" be directed at me, retract it!]

: that means someone has a string of beauty spots somewhere on their body..agree with Lumen...spots of beauty would work though. English is tricky that way.

: Grammar right, words right, and WW (he's got connections) can get away with same (??). But it lends itself to funny misunderstanding, so ... Besides the intended scan ((natural beauty) spots) eliminates the problem, so it is not really the same.
