Entendo que sejam duas frase separadas, pois a pontuação não estaria correta, se fosse a mesma frase.
Usei request, ao final da primeira frase, mas poderia ser "ask" ou outro verbo, dependendo do que venha a seguir (pouco contexto é muito ruim). Da mesma forma, ao invés de "alteration", poderia ser modification, change, etc.
