Basic ton is "reduced" weight basic element or elements. The value is virtual, unreal, but very convenient for calculations. In practice it is used to calculate prices and weights of large (relatively "cheap") ferric alloys. As in the case of "doping" ferroalloys, quality and price of large alloys, such as ferrosilicon, ferrochrome, ferromanganese, is determined by the percentage of their constituent basic elements. The difference lies in the fact that the price is fixed not for a basic element, but for etalon.
Базовая тонна - "приведенный" вес основного элемента или элементов. Величина виртуальная, ненастоящая, но очень удобная для расчетов. На практике используется для расчетов цен и весов крупнотоннажных (относительно "недорогих") ферросплавов. Как и в случае с "легирующими" ферросплавами, качество и цена крупнотоннажных, таких как ферросилиций, феррохром, ферромарганец, также определяется процентным содержанием входящих в них основных элементов. Отличие же состоит в том, что цена фиксируется не за основной элемент, а за эталон.
