Russian to English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature

In this passage Z- is headed to the hospital with the relatives of the man he is being taken to visit. Z is a literary critic from Moscow and he is now travelling through the countryside to see a man he has never met before (they have been corresponding by letter). It is New Year's Eve. It will turn out that the man died in a duel recently and they are in fact going to a graveyard.

З- приободрился, и собственный поступок начал казаться ему уже не бестолковым, но красивым... Пренебречь новогодними удовольствиями и отправиться к черту на рога, чтобы развеять чью-то больничную тоску, - это крсиво, это ***зачтется*** там; он обернулся, чтобы не себе одному, но и этим незнакомым людям сказать что-нибудь бодрое, убедительное, но не решился.
