Дело в том, что муфтиат (он же муфтият) можно писать в прямом смысле без употребления "офисного оборудования";-)

Потому, как жителю республики, в которой ислам весьма распространен, а также ввиду знания оного, мне кажется, что именно такое употребюления и будет вполне правильным и уважительным. Ведь назвать Ватикан или Всленский Собор "Папским офисом" было бы несколько невежливо:-)
