En contraposición, las \"tareas hijas\" se llaman en inglés \"children tasks\" (en singular: \"child task\"/tu otra pregunta). Que en español se llamarían \"tareas secundarias\". \"Tareas hijas\" es un calco del inglés.

Father-Daughter Tasks
Each DSP supports an independent resident scheduler (Goodman, Mark IV memo 219.1) which is responsible for dispatching tasks according to a specified schedule, with competing tasks selected for execution according to their specified priorities.
