From the terms you mentioned above, I would favour \"overdesigned\", but I find that \"over\" carries a negative connotation (that it is TOO large).

I know this isn't an exact translation, but I think it conveys the meaning. It is asking if this system is "over..." to accomodate improvements (upgrades). I take this to mean that the system is expandable.

Is the data processing system have enough memory to accommodate upgrades?
Here's what I don't understand. A processing system I guess here means the hardware. The software sits on the hardware which has memory capability. What I think they mean is, does the hardware have enough memory to accommodate future versions of the software (program)? The size refers to the amount of memory the program takes up.
