As per my previous question, this appears in a long sentence in an executive summary:
I am not sure what this refers to - is it saying that the "actitud" honours its own??? Can't make sense of it.

Hm - maybe I've been hearing too many politicians, so in view of Susana's answer and considering the context a bit more, "which respects our heritage" might be more like it!

taking into account / privileging our heritage
I think this text was written in Chilean spanish, it sounds so familiar to me. "Lo propio" refers to our own culture and traditions, whaterver we consider belongs to our cultural identity, that is why I use heritage. On the other side, the context given by the previous sentence "desarrollo con equidad", implies to me that development must "take into account/ privilege heritage". Good luck.
