neutral Jennifer Levey : 'rate', not 'speed' The 'rate' is 1.4 or 3.6 megabytes per second; the 'speed' is the speed of light (assuming transmission in a vacuum).

agree Bubo Coroman (X) : I take mediamatrix' point but I think "speed" is O.K. to use as that is what is understood by the phrase as a whole and that is what we talk about in the U.K.

Actually "speed" is already mentioned in the paragraph, so I think "rate" is the best choice here. Take the case of a normal web download, the term used by Windows is "rate", not speed. ;o)
