Spanish term

ocupac.

Spanish to English Other Journalism
I am translating a news article. The publication has a standard heading that appears in the article, which includes the title of the publication and a bunch of facts about the layout, distribution, etc., often abbreviated, for example: "Área (cm2)" and "Doc." (presumably "documento" abbreviated), "Autor," "Num. Lec." (número de lectores), etc. Also appearing in this heading is the phrase "Ocupac. 100%." I presume this is an abbreviation for "ocupación," but I'm not sure what the term means in this context. It appears next to the term "área," so I imagine it has something to do with how much space the article takes up on the page perhaps? Anyone know about the meaning of this term and/or its standard translation into English? Thanks!

newshole

A newshole is a journalism term that stands for the amount of space available daily for news in a newspaper. The column inches reserved for newshole are usually the remaining spaces after paid advertisements are filled.
