Hi all -
This somehow escapes me. Does anyone know the correct way to express de luz no significativa as follows in the context below:
CORONARIOGRAFIA
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

loss of lumen
The average amount of late lumen loss is 0.8-1.0 mm after implantation of a bare metal stent. This amount of late loss occurs regardless of the size of the original vessel lumen. This has important implications, especially for smaller vessels. If a vessel with a 4-mm diameter experiences about 1 mm of late loss, a 44% loss of lumen area results

Restenosis is most commonly defined by angiographic
criteria utilizing a dichotomous distinction based on 50%
diameter stenosis (DS) at the site of a previously successful
intervention. After successful coronary stent implantation, this
loss of lumen is almost entirely due to neointimal hyperplasia,
rather than elastic recoil or negative remodeling that is operative
after conventional balloon angioplasty, and is essentially
complete by six months after the stent procedure (1,2)

"Luz" can seem confusing if you don't know that it can also mean "lumen" (although you can see that the words are related). Here's one of its definitions from the RAE dictionary:
5. f. Área interior de la sección transversal de un tubo.
5. f. Área interior de la sección transversal de un tubo.
