I can't find good results for amaurotico de infancia. Could it be "Leber Congenital Amaurosis" or "infantile amaurotic idiocy"?

We are looking for the adjective here showing partial or total blindness has affected the patient since infancy; "amaurosis" exists in Spanish, and yes, it probably does mean that the patient has Leber's congenital amaurosis, which affects infants from birth and which is Amaurosis Congénita de Leber in Spanish - but all the source text is saying here is that sight has been affected since infancy.
Or that's how I understand it... I could be barking up the wrong tree!

: So would I, though "infancy" may not be the right word; strictly, in EN medspeak, that means before the age of 1 year. Perhaps better "childhood". "Infancia" means from birth to puberty in Spanish. / Though LCA does appear in infancy, so as you were!

infantile amaurosis
As far as I'm aware, Leber's Congenital Amaurosis and Infantile Amaurotic Idiocy are just two causes of amaurosis, which is blindness that wasn't caused by a lesion (https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/amaurosis ). So I'd just go with a general "infantile amaurosis" if there's no other, more specific context.
