Concuerdo con Ruth en que no se usa en la correspondencia de rutina, pero Rosa indicó "a formal letter".

You are right, Ruth. It is not usual, but in very formal correspondence I still see it quite often. :))

agree Margaret Schroeder : Traducirlo textualmente al inglés daría un toque rarísimo a la carta. No se traduce, se convierte en el fórmula equivalente, que es éste.

agree Laura Carrizo : Es una fórmula para saludo final que según mi profesora de redacción comercial había que evitar (si uno tuviera algo más que decir en la carta lo pondría, ¿no?). Como dice Georges, yo usaría "Best/Kind Regards" que es más moderno.

Yours sincerely / Yours faithfully

"Yours sincerely" si se conoce a la persona a la que se le está enviando el escrito (Dear Mr. Smith) y si no se especifica el nombre: Dear Sir / Madam, se pondría "Yours faithfully"
